Sharline Chiang is a Berkeley-based editor, book coach, writer, and non-profit communications strategist and consultant. She has 10 years of experience in journalism and 15 years in nonprofit communications and strategic planning. Most recently she served as director of strategic communications for National Writing Project, an organization dedicated to the improvement of the teaching of writing in schools and universities across the nation. She is a former staff reporter for the New York Daily News, LA Daily News and Riverside Press-Enterprise, among other newspapers, and is the former managing editor of Beijing Scene. She holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Rutgers University and master’s in journalism from Columbia University.
